Caddies
For all golf courses in Northern Thailand, it is mandatory to have a caddy for each player. The course owners see the caddies as important to safeguarding the quality of the greens and fairways.
Please tip the caddies! They work very hard, often doing ground maintenance on alternate days to caddying. A 400 baht tip per caddy is expected at all golf courses in Northern Thailand
Shower & Locker Facilities
Golf Courses in Northern Thailand generally have good quality locker facilities. You can have a good strong shower after your game and be ready to continue to lunch and afternoon sightseeing.
Complimentary towels and locker key are provided for all players.
Golf Carts
For most courses, golf carts are mandatory and we will include cart hire in our packages unless you indicate you would prefer to walk.
Equipment Hire
Most golf courses have golf clubs and golf shoes available for hire. The rental golf clubs usually start from around THB1,000 per set. Olsen Tours also has several sets of golf clubs for hire at a lower price – if you need rental clubs let us know, and your driver can bring a set of clubs so you can compare with those available at the golf course.
Seasonal Pricing
We can generally quote discounted rates for play between April and October each year, but sometimes there are special promotions available during the ‘high season’ months.
Non-Players
If you are travelling with people who will not be playing golf, there are several options we can include in the package:
- Non-payer can join you to walk the fairways at most courses for a small fee
- Some of the golf courses have a swimming pool open to day visitors
- We can arrange sightseeing for your companions while you are playing golf, or we can collect them from the hotel after golf so you can go sightseeing together

Multi-Day Golf Itineraries
If you will play multiple golf courses and do some sightseeing in Northern Thailand, we can quote a single price. The package price consolidates all your transport needs (including evening restaurant transfers), so it is good value compared to booking separate sightseeing tours.
